Induction Lighting

I recently read a blurb in "Weed World" about induction lights. They seem to be really good.
They seem to be similar to fluorescent lights, but have efficiency and output that is equal to or greater than a HID of comprable wattage.
The nice thing about these induction lights though, is that the bulbs last MUCH longer, and have minimal lumen drop compared to HIDs. Lifetimes for induction lamps are rated in tens or hundreds of thousand of hours. That is about 5-10 years, with about 80% lumen retention. A common HID bulb will drop to about 60-70% within a couple months.
What makes these induction lamps so long-lasting is that there are no electrodes. The electrode is what fails on a regular light bulb, and since these don't have that, they last much longer.
I would like to know if anyone has any experience with these types of lights, and what other people think of them.
