I'm too high to understand these guys' trolling right now.
I'd say my use is about 50/50. I self medicate for a lot of arthritis like pains...I broke a lot of my body up in my youth being drunk and reckless. Most of my bones and joints are pretty fucked. I also smoke for overwhelming headaches and to sleep, but this is less often than for general pain management.
I love getting stoned though, I'd be a liar if I said I didn't. I smoke at parties and before meals or movies simply because I just like being high.
I also de-stress by doodling to some music and bong hits. This is both recreational (I enjoy doing it) and medicinal (because it helps me when I'm on fucking edge.)

I smoke weed becuz I'm an addict ...it's lost recreational value... maybe self medicating value is why I smoke

I smoke recreationally and also for medical reasons. Sometimes i just feel like i need a good high and sometimes im sick from my UC or sad so ill smoke to relieve symptoms. Weed is a wonder drug no doubt.

How much weed does it really take to relieve pain though? I think it takes a LOT to make a difference.

I would say if u ate 4 edibles it would space you out bad enuff that it mite relieve pain .

For my trivial arthritic pains, I'd say one bowl is more than sufficient. Daily aches. Not like a wound or something, just when the weather changes and I get kinda stiff.
