this guy was fuckin nuts. He had a dream as a kid, that he would fall to his death when hes older. He pretty much did everything he could to make it a reality. Including making a new extreme sport "freebasing" (free climbing then base jumping at the top).
Well it finally happened, he died jumping from a 7,500-foot promontory in Yosemite National Park this weekend.

I had seen a video or two about him and the flying suit before but nothing major. It sucks that he died but at least he died doing what seemed to make him happy.

Nah, that's a mis-report. The total elevation of the cliff may have been close to 7,500 ft. elevation, but from the cliff to the valley floor was more like 3,500 ft. Not that it really matters in any way, I just always like to point out shit the news gets wrong.
