Orphan plant
    #777032 - 04/25/15 07:01 PM (8 years, 10 months ago)

Someone ditched a beautiful plant outside my apartment 3 days ago.
An old lady who lives here was sad to see a living thing die, so she took it in, gave it some nutrients and gave it some bamboo stakes to keep her up right.
Overall seems really healthy and smells fantastic.

Only thing is, I have all my old growing equipment EXCEPT my old bulbs.
I gotta decide between ordering one online or going to the store.
Online would get me one about half the price of a store and I really would like to save the extra cash if possible ($25 vs $50+)
BUT
I probably wouldn't have it if I ordered online until about Tuesday or Wednesday.

Would it be possible to keep this lovely little orphan healthy that long inside with just the light from regular ole ceiling lights?
It could also potentially get direct sunlight through the window for up to a few hours a day, but the next few days are expected to be fairly cloudy and would have to get most of its light from the ceiling fan above.

If shes vegging she'll be fine just will stretch. It should be kept on no less then 16 hrs on 8 off.
if shes flowering she can be kept on a 12/12 schedule.

also check for balls there might be a reason somone ditched it. I once.found a 3 foot tall male plant in a wash. At the time I didn't know males usually don't get you that high .

Got any CFLs laying around, preferably 6500k(daylight)?
I'm getting a couple more of these while they're 25% off.(my little grow is cfl only)

Didn't even think about the possibility of a male plant, but I checked and I'm seeing little pistils here & there

I have the plant on a chair for now under the ceiling fan to get it closer to the lights.

The only CFL bulbs I have are red bulbs so that's a no go.

I'll come back with a picture a little later.
