Introduction
    #773479 -

I just created this account and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Steve, I am 27 years old and I am from Ohio. I first started smoking at 17 years old and have always had an interest in growing ever since. I used to grow mushrooms for a long time but would like to try my hand at growing bud as well

I look forward to hanging out here a bit, getting to know you people better, and learning about growing

I don't need anything at the moment but thank you for asking.

I've been good man just got through a stressful final that kicked my butt but it was a great learning experience. One more class to go and I am done for the semester.

How are you doing man?? I was watching a documentary the other day and I finally got what manitou means and immediately thought of you. I will call you manitou from now on.

In my free time I've been getting quite high and finding what I'm gonna do with my life, haven't done dmt yet, maybe one day.

And yeah, Manitou is related to native spirituality, mostly algonquin traditions, its in a way a kind of greater presence a bit like a god, but its not really a god, more like the presence of the spirits, its what explains it in a way as he created them.

After living 9 years of active drug use, the past 6 in heavy opiate addiction, being clean and sober today has been the most awesome thing I have ever experienced. I have my own place, a job, and I am happy with life.

And no I didnt know that about elephants.

I used to feel that way, and addiction is a fickle bitch that can rear it's ugly head at any given time, but at least where I am today, I feel confident that I never have to use any mind altering substance again.

I dont even abuse over the counter stuff the way I would in the past. Take all my prescriptions exactly as directed. All absolutely new things to me. Even non-alcohol cough syrup.

My life was a freaking disaster when I was using, and I want nothing to do with that kind of life again. I am sure there have been people on these forums in the past that have experienced this kind of life

I am interested in getting some ideas for a grow. I am in the planning stages right now in terms of figuring out lighting for the space that I have available.

I figured I would mix it up with the people of this community in between reading the cultivation forum. I was thinking about joining the Shroomery but that place seems a bit overwhelming to me, a lot of members over there

As a medicinal business? My state is very close to passing medical marijuana laws and I would like to get into that door

From what I've read, and I could be way off, you need about a half million in assets to have your application to open a dispensary taken seriously. Of course there are many other lucrative aspects/careers.

The people who are able to invest while the industry is still at ground level will make a buttload. I'm glad just to have personal freedoms a lot of people will never get the opportunity to know.  :happytears:

Wouldnt be my own money, it would be a family investment. We thought about it awhile ago in another state but I had to relocate so things never worked out. The timing would be on point this time around
