Blue in the face

this going to be a growlog but im sure ill have lots of questions. which is why im posting here and not the growlog subforum. the strains ill be trying to grow are blueberry(x4), blue cheese(x4), and blue widow(x2).i plan on growing 1 blue widow, 2 blue cheese, and 2 blueberry in a DWC setup and the rest in soil.i have gh flora series expert line of nutrients. im planning on starting the seedlings under 140w of cfl. then once they have some roots poking out ill put them under a 400w metal halide. ive got a 1000w hps for flower.ive never done a dwc before but i have succesfully grown a few plants in soil.
when do i put the seedlings into the dwc?
would it be better to veg with 1000w hps or 400w mh?
the nutrients i have were frozen solid because my dumbass left them in the garage over winter. im not sure if theyre still good or not. the little bit of information i could find said they.should be alright to use as long as it didnt have living microbes in it. or as long as the salts didnt fall out of solution. my grow and bloom bottles had solid salts at the bottom. i was able to get to redisolve though. are these nutes ok to use?
march 6- started germination between wet paper towel. march 10-put the germinated seeds in 1.5in rockwool cubes soaked with LIFE cloning solution with a ph of 5.7 and put them under 140w of cfl lighting.

Im transplanting from soil solo cups to dwc no prob,i just let them dry out, carefully pat the root ball until all the soil is removed and then put them in the net pots and set the solution level just right so the air stones are causing a splashing at the root zone, I use the same line of nuts but I have never herd someone reporting on using nuts that were frozen ,would be a good experiment to do shedding some knowldge ,unless anyone can confirm .

how old are your seedlings before you transplant? im thinking about picking up some maxigrow and maxibloom.instead of risking it with the nutes i got.

5 of my seeds never germinated and I killed 3 that did. im left with 2 both blueberry. one of them doesn't seem to be doing so well but the other is doing very well. Im almost positive overwatered them to death. my first time using rock wool with seedlings and I kept them soaking wet. a buddy felt bad for me and hooked me up with 3 blaze clones and 1 sour turbo diesel clone. I just transplanted them to my dwc. the first pic is what the roots of the clones looked like right before the transplant.is that enough of a root ball? the blueberry is the bottom right plant in the second picture. back left is the sour turbo and the rest blaze.

sorry to hear of the bad luck man ,
you should be fine transplanting that cutting as long as the roots are in some nice bubbling water .
great to have a friend to hook you up there to !

is this root rot? it showed up a day after I added florablend to the res. my water temps are 65-68. should I try and get it lower? I changed the water out, rinsed the roots off the best I could, and added 1.5ml of chlorine to the fresh water(18gallon) any thing else I should be doing?

Looks like root rot! damn.
Are you covering the top and keeping it completely dark in there? looks like the rot associated with light.

yea im trying to keep it pitch black on the inside. the only area that gets light is where the airhose comes into the reservoir. I just covered them up with black and white poly.i do lift the lid a few times a day to look at the roots and test the ph. I took the above picture in the middle of a water change. that's why there is a line of shit around the reservoir. since ive put the chlorine in there the brown seems to be going away.
is there any chance that it was caused by the florablend?

Maybe. What chlorine you got? Like, pool shock? That's what you want, basically.
Best of luck man
