hey guys made the mistake of leaving the root ball in the hydro basket for a week or so after i chopped the plant and found it to be a little moldy and i pulled everything out.. i put the baskets in a simple green (commerical cleaning grade) and let is soak for a couple hours. now i was thinking about letting them soak for a couple hours in a water/bleach mix to make sure that nothing is growing.
but what im wondering is would i have to do anything special after the water/bleach mix to get all the bleach off the baskets to make sure that the bleach wont affect any plants after when i start another around?

kk thanks for the info 13buds. im was using simple green to get most of the junk off then figured use bleach after (with out the simple green) to kill off anything that might be growing.. and i was going to give it a huge ass wash after cause i dont want to risk any bleach getting in the water when i start my next round of girls

Vinegar, and other acids are required to break up that white crust. Soak in vinegar to soften, scrub, rinse. It gets the majority of crusty residue off.
