i bought this camera for my chicks bday.

i know nothing about cameras or photography, but it seems to be a decent step up from your basic digi camera.

any thoughts?

20 megapixels is lots for any device.
You only need more if you are a pro or something.

megapixels are an outdated and overrated way to determine the quality of a camera

Bingo, My DSLR is about 8 years old, has half the megapixels of the new ones, but can still take just as good of pics.

And if you don't know what any of that means PB, maybe you shold do some research before buying an expensive item :cookiemonster:
