-------------------- "To say that nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic."
"Je pense, donc je suis (I am thinking, therefore I am)." -Rene Descartes
It's kind of trippy because secondary chem/physics is my major and I am collaborating with the engineering students to get high school students into science based careers. Robotics is extremely popular where I am at, so I wanted to start having exhibits at some of the high schools in the lower socio-economic communities. So far, the local electric company is giving us a project and the funds for it. If everything works out, they will be willing to shell out an additional 50k to our project and will pay some of their engineers to help out with events.
The high school I am looking to get hired at is sitting at 26% standard for science. Lots of opportunities in that school. If enough students join these science clubs, the local businesses and state will donate funds for the school's equipment and scholarships for the students.
