it could be normal for his grows leaves to turn yellow in flower if hes specifically depriving them of nitrogen to boost yield or whatever nitrogen deprivation in flower is supposed to do. I guess it depends how long ago you took over feeding the plants and with what. Unfortunately forums are going to need a lot of info on the grow to know for sure.

the soil should be somewhere between 5.5 and 6.5 preferably, and I've heard the best way to test soil pH is by mixing 1 part soil into 4 or 5 parts water, stirring for a minute or 2, maybe letting it sit, then test the water, which you may need to separate form the soil if you're using ph testing liquid and not a ph meter.

oh btw if its an all organic grow you may not want to mess with soil ph

Be sure to read up on "autoflower"/ruderalis seeds before choosing them. Unless you NEED autos, you might do much better with anything else. No more hoarding ultra genetics! We need more of the best not less!

With the limited info given it's normal for the fan leaves to yellow and fall off during flowering.

Without actually knowing at what point these are in flower, then no we can't really give decent advice.  Sure it could be the natural stage of things.  But we don't know, and can't know.  That's why I ask for more info before saying it's one thing or another.
