ive only used propane grills... i have heard that charcoal does cook better (but its hard to cook evenly)
not bad for a first grill junior

Smoking different cuts and trying out new rubs is a fun, delicious hobby. If you ever decide to pull the trigger on one I highly recommend the Weber Smoky mountain. There are several forums dedicated to this smoker with tons of useful info and recipes and its very user friendly.
Ive been putting out some KILLER ribs, brisket, and pulled pork with this thing for many years now. Even smoked a couple turkeys. Very high quality as well, mine has been sitting outside with the cover it came with for 8 years and not a single spot of rust...I live in the midwest too so it gets all kinds of weather.
