Running the exhaust air down the sewer pipe.

Has anyone done this? Did it work well?

I've never done it personally, but, if you have the ability to do so it is a viable option.

well

to prevent sewer gases from entering your home from your toilet there is a trap

basically it's a horse shoe shaped piece of pvc or whatever it is they use and it's filled with water and the gases don't penetrate that.

I don't think you'll have something like this ...

Why not? If you're going through the trouble of routing your exhaust into public sewer systems, I would assume you're at least smart enough to figure out a one-way flow valve

A one way valve should not be hard to make for this.

The vent pipe might let oder out but a off/on valve is easy to install
