 Anyone know much about growing cacti?

Id rather not post this on the shittery
So one of my cactus has been growing weird growth on the top of it. looks kinda weird. started a few months ago
not sure why its doing that, maybe its a way it reproduces, or maybe its got some disease... not sure... ive never seen it before (been growing cacti for years)
Im guessing this offshoot (different cactus) is a flower growing ?
This is a sweet pot for this one eh?

I'm not too familiar with that first species. Just let it grow out and see what comes out of it! 
The second pic is just a new pup. From what i understand, for basic columnar cacti, if you haven't choppped from the top then new pups will sprout from the bottom.
The pot in the last pic might be a little small. But it's up to you on how big you want to grow it out.

Actually, now that i see it on a bigger screen (was using my phone earlier), the second pic might be a flower emerging. Should be a pretty sight within the new couple of weeks if that's the case.

The first species is of the Genus Euphorbia, which is not a cactus at all but a thorny succulent. The growths are actually the small and short lived leaves that occasionally sprout off of the main body.
Be careful if you start trimming this guy...the sap is caustic and poisonous. Make sure you wear gloves or wash your hands immediately afterwards.
The 2nd pic definitely looks like a flower. 
I like the pot in the 3rd pic....pretty B.A.
