I picked up a pouch of this stuff and made a solution as per gallon ratio. Ive had it and been using it about 6 weeks but the last month its been smelling like sulfur. Anyone know if there's a known shelf life on the biologics once the water is added? Would it add shelf life with some kelp or molasses added? Id like to make this gallon last the whole run if possible.
Wait, a gallon has lasted you 6 weeks? That doesn't seem right.
It has definitely gone bad and needs to be thrown out. And no, molasses will decrease the shelf life, it's just adding more sugars for bacteria to feed on, which is the sulfur smell.
It's best to add that directly to the soil, or to make up each batch as you need it.
