 Sex smell

Not sure where this should go.
I noticed that the smell between each of my 2 week old seedlings is vastly different. eg one has a strong distinct odor and the other is almost without smell.
I am going way out on a limb here, but is this an early indication of sex or just due to individual variability of the plants?

yep, some plants don't have genetic stability in the least (meaning basically both parent plants had a bunch of dominant alleles) so each plant will express it's potential phenotypes differently. just as a brother and sister can sometimes both have different colored hair, eyes, and skin, with one a foot taller than the other.
and no need to apologize for your ignorance, friend- if you already know everything there's nothing left to learn, and that is the day life no longer holds it's sparkle

I did believe that I knew everything, when I was a bit younger. Things are different now to say the least. It's refreshing and fascinating to take on a new hobby, this being my latest 
So will the difference in smell result in a difference in potency as I've been led to believe, or is this assumption in valid like my sex smell hypothesis?

the plants will very likely have varying degrees of potency. Although this stems from the same root cause as the smell difference they aren't related in my experience. some very potent plants barely smell, while others stink to high heaven.

Genetics are neat. Wish I had a brain and a lab so I could chop out the cannabinoid production genes and stick them in yeast or something and make covert "stone beer"

if you could identify the cannibinoid gene and it's associated PCR replication gene you'd be a billionaire. just surround it with an amplified expression gene and grow the most retardedly potent cannabis ever
