haha, I've locked my car with the keys in the ignition while it was still running. I wouldn't doubt if the lights were still on. :blonde:

once i was very stoned and i turned off the car and started pulling out the key but it wouldn't come out. i tried for a couple of minutes until i realized the shit wasn't in park. 
i prefer manual transmissions.

when i was a a kid, i was locked inside my grandparents car while they were grocery shopping, and by accident me and my sister set off the car alarm from INSIDE the car...
we were both crying and people were looking at us like someone had just tried to break into the car and hurt us or something
just felt like i should share.

Same here, I've run into the same situation. I kinda felt retarded when I figured out what was up, but I also hadn't ever driven an automatic before, so I straight-up had no idea about the whole put-it-in-park thing. I learned on a stickshift, and that's about all I ever drive.
I just feel like I'm not as safe a driver when I'm driving automatic, since it gives you a lot more capacity to zone out. I stay more alert and aware driving manual.

haha, how old were you and your sister?
sativus: i didn't feel retarded cuz i was really high at the time. i was actually relieved that there was nothing wrong with the car. and i actually didn't realize it myself, i had to call my sister and she told me. the funny thing is that i had driven that car many times before.
