Ugh, I'm tired of these. For the record, no one can tell you what your weed is by a picture and a vague description. The only person who knows for sure is the grower and who he sold it to.

Just because you have smoked for a long time doesnt mean you know its not mids.
Definitely looks like mids, but maybe it just looks that way.
IMO people really dont know true top shelf until they start growing and know growers and really see what plants can produce compared to the material you get from an every day dealer.
As far as strain thats not something that will ever be truly determined by looking at the nug. Even plants grown out completely and harvested with no name, can't always be pin pointed to a specific strain.

Totally random questions - but how much does knowing how to properly trim/cure affect the look?
Not making any comment about the specific pictures here (asking for personal reasons), but could that make top-shelf bud look really bad even if it's good smoke?

There are strains out there that look like shit even when they are incredibly dank.
I personally dont like leafy weed, so If I go to the club and they have some serious fire strains, im gonna be picking the one mostly trimmed cause leafy bud doesnt have any bag appeal to me.

Related story:
One time when i was like 16 we bought $20 worth of smoke, and it looked EXACTLY like catnip.... I tried to return it (at school)... but the kid (who was 14) said it came from his 21 year old biker brother and claimed it was AMAZING. We ended up smoking it at a hockey game AND I WAS SOOOOO FUCKED ... seeing shit. hearing shit. HOLY FUCK!!! tooooo much for me.
Turns out it was catnip but it but it was laced with PCP
