    #672549 - 05/25/13 05:01 PM (10 years, 9 months ago)

hey was just wondering about how far into flower is it safe to spray the plants/buds with anti mildew spray and the stuff is organic. Its been getting higher in humidity in my grow rooms and I just want to spray them as a preventative just to be safe, im on day 21 or 22 into flower..i got buds forming and just starting to see crystals forming on the leafs near the buds.

Well a lot of them say it's safe until the day of harvest.

I'd use a sulfur burner.

oh ok I just did not know if it could not be used at all in flowering because of the risk that it would affect the bud growth or trichome production....  i figured i would not use in the last couple weeks before flowering, but wanted to give it a little spray down to just help protect the plants from the higher humidity i been having over here on the east coast.

i have a few friends that struggle with humidity levels in their grows. they run sulfer burners and use seranade.  For them it's a constant battle. Some strains resist pm more than others.  They spray serenade up until the last week of flower. Although it does say it can be used until the day you chop.

I agree with hawk. You don't have any issues as of yet. so there's no need to be sprayin your plants down. Best thing you could do for yourself is get your humidity in check.  Gettin hit with botrytis 6-7 weeks into flower would be devistating.  By the time you see that you have it....it's already to late.

Get yourself a dehuwey. Asap.

well the reason im asking is I do have a dehumidifier but it blast a shit load of heat and raises the temp a lot in the room.. so the humidity has been in the low 50ies range with out running the dehumidifier. so figured if I gave them a spray to help protect them just to be safe cause I want to try to avoid putting in extra heat if possible cause then I would have to use the ac to to cool it down. and I don't want to have to use them if I don't need to.

As long as you have adequate fans blowing on the plants, 50% shouldn't cause any problems.

oh ok, I have a 800 cfm inline fan blowing in the room and two 16inch hydro farm rotating fans in the room, would you consider that adequate?

Should be.  Make sure those fans are blowing directly on the plants.
