Lol man, I'm nice to my family and I don't like most of them.
I'm thinking of punching out my cousins fiance during their wedding if he mouths off though.
Abusing your family is pretty bad though I never borrow money from my family members. My brother's car was paid by my god mother and he likely doesn't have any intention of paying her back.

Depends on the family, and degree of rich.
Many who would have qualified as 'Rich' about ten years ago wouldn't consider themselves as such now.
If your friends' knew the deal, then you would PROBABLY be doing them much better than any bank would.

rich is really dependant on where you live.
if you live in miami/southbeach florida rich is like owning a lamborghini.
I'm from Canada rich here is like 100 000$ yr salary and up.
Fuck people drive civics here that are stock and consider themselves ballers.

my area is probably 60k and up or 100k and up per household.
my mom makes 100k a year from her job or more and she has some crazy investments I won't get into.
I'm definately taking advantage of my situation and going to university... no idea what I want to take yet though.
I've been to Brazil and Mexico... I know how poor those sad fucks are.

and seriously OP, if you have someone you could borrow some $ from to get a loan, and then rent 3 rooms out (NOT TO FRIENDS) to tenants you could EASILY pull in double your mortgage payment every month. you wouldnt even need to work...
if i hadnt used up all my family loans on bails i wouldve done this when i turned 18

Apartments.com, get something cheap, like a studio to start.
Dont burn bridges with your parents, just incase your sorry ass has to move back in (which it probably will if you become poor)
At least have a part time job! If you can get something which you only walk to work, that's always awesome.
Ramen noodles, hot dogs, and beer. You'll be living on your own. None of that steak and veggies crap! When you first move out, you'll be poor for a while, practice eating poor now.
Room mates are cool if both of you are busy and pay rent.
Always look for a new job, always.
