I'm looking to make some either from deer or beef. I don't have a dehydrator but my dad used to make it in the oven and it came out awesome.
If anyone has done the oven method, what cuts of meat should I go for? I really like jerkey, should I just buckle and get a dehydrator? I'd love to make a lot of it eventually.

my buddy got a nice buck this year...
he gave me a huge bag of jerky for xmas... its soo good.
ill ask him how he makes it today.

I have a few friends that make jerky out of all sorts of different meats, its always sooo fucking good too. No idea how its made though, but I would love to try it some time

I just bought a 5 tier dehydrator for 40 dollars at walmart.
There not that expensive.

Yeah, I recently inherited one for Christmas and I've been lovin it!
Drying fruit for tea n trail mix n stuff... Haven't made jerky though.
Was told it like $30-40\
Not bad... Worth it I'd say.

So good. You got to see it before you make jerky.

I picked up one of these babys at a yardsale for $5.
It was used once for mushrooms... i didnt even think about using for dehydrating fruit or makin jerky....

Ya if I still did boomers I'd probably have one. I just casually mentioned it to my buddy and he said he had a lot of meat I could use and keep half of if I wanted to bother doing it.
Guess that settles it. Feel free to post any recipe recommendations.
Now if only I could find a way to get some cannabutter in...haha.
