expanding coir with rapidstart
    #649009 -

for those who don't know, rapidstart is general hydroponics answer to roots excellurator. it promotes root growth to transplants.

I have a bunch of coco I'm looking to expand. most of it will be used to transplant established plants into larger buckets. a small percentage will be used to put rooted clones into. and a very small percentage may be used to start seeds in.

so, I'm wondering if rapidstart is too much for seedlings and new clones? it'd save a lot of hassle for me if I could just expand with it and have it readily available for my transplants.

I use it on clones and seedlings all the time, well the house and garden version of what you use.

I'd expand with ph balanced water.

I wouldn't use the Rapidstart until You start your feeding.

I love that stuff tho.
It does wonders for the root development.:yesnod:
I have also found that 1ml does just as good as the recommenced 2.5ml per gallon GH recommends.

With clones I start with 1/4 strength nute mix and yes I use rapidstart then.

I use nothing but water on seedlings until they are ready to eat.
Haven't considered using it on fresh seedlings before tho.
May have to try it one day.

I don't use it the moment they pop or anything, but once they have the second set of true leaves they get a dose of it.

ok I'll just hold off on expanding with it then.

I have the home and garden complete line. I got sample amounts for free. its so intimidating haha. so exact and precise. I'll probably try it someday.
