Growace.com?

Hello Growery, i am planning on starting my first grow soon and was browsing the web for a good place to order my materials from, came across growace.com. I want to get a 400W HPS and came across this deal on this site:
http://growace.com/product_info/400w-hps-mh-cool-tube-reflector-hood-digital-ballast-grow-light.html
my questions is, is this website reliable? anyone have any experience with them and can vouch? anyone know any other good reputable sites to order from with reasonable prices like this one?
a quick tech question, would i be better off with a 400W HPS or a 600W HPS? my grow area will probably be around 48in x 24in x 70in (LWH) all approximations. i want to be able to grow around 4 plants flowering with an LST in this area. possible? any input would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

As far as quality, I don't think it is very high. The bulbs are sure to be shitty, but I'm sure the ballast and reflector would serve you well.
Are you using this to grow in?

I am using this closet/dresser piece from ikea which i will mod with cuttings for ventilation. With the dimensions mentioned, how many plants could i fit in it? i plan on trying an LST on the plants as well to gain lots of top colas.

Check this place out I know several people that have ordered from them.
Did you happen to read the reviews on the product you provided a link for?
"This kit works well for the most part. We have had a few exceptions. Our timer quit working about a month after receiving the kit. Most recently, the HPS bulb quit working. This is only after having the kit for three months. We will be sending the items back for refund and hope to get our money back on both. On the positive side, we have had luck with this kit not costing too much extra in electric costs, due to the ballast. It is an overall good value for a lighting kit. Our vegetables are doing very well."
This product review would be a red flag for me.
Myself.....I'm all about supporting local businesses. If you have a hydro store near by I'd recommend you shop there. It would also be much less of a hassle if you have equipment failure and need something replaced immediately.
If that's not an option then check out the site I provided. Hydrofarm makes a good convertible 400 watt system with the ballast built into the reflector.

I would skip the 400 and go with a 600 if you can afford it

Also, I'd like to give you the same piece of advice I give to a lot of people trying to pinch pennies: don't cut corners on the important pieces of equipment for your grow. I understand the desire to keep costs low, but, you don't want your critical pieces of equipment failing on you in the middle of a grow. Case in point, timers. Spend the extra couple of bucks on a good timer, same with a ballast, if either of those things break on you you're pretty much screwed. The timer you can deal with, but if your ballast goes out on your there's not much you can do until you get parts or a new ballast. I know its tempting to save 100$, but just know that if anything breaks you're spending more money to fix it so those savings start to get less and less.

RVF Garden Supply it is! thanks for the advice. going to begin my hunt on here for everything i need. heres what i will probably be working with:
grow space: 24in x 11in x 36in LWH number of plants: 1 -2 light: flowering (400W or 600W) HPS, is this too much light for just 1-2 plants? waste of light? light: Veg (125-200W CFL) or is it worth just using the 400/600W HPS? i want to try to only use an HID for flowering only.
main question would be the most efficient equipment for the amount of space available.

what would be some good brands of equipment that served others well?? i dont mind the extra cost, but im getting used to seeing 400W 600W light setups for around $200, is this too cheap or a good price?

ive been on rvf gardensuppy's website for awhile and havent found any light setups that include air cooled or cool tube systems. i found a lot of great deals on growace with digital ballasts:
http://growace.com/product_info/400w-hps-cool-tube-reflector-digital-ballast-grow-light.html http://growace.com/product_info/400w-hps-air-cool-hood-reflector-digital-ballast-grow-light-kit.html
are these necessary? never worked with HIDs so not sure how much heat they emit, but i hear it does get pretty hot. i would love to have these systems to keep my lights cool.
any negatives at all about growace.com? i read some good reviews but not sure if i can trust them or not.

Thank you Hawk for the resource, i am trying to find a package for atleast a 125-200W CFL with the appropriate hookups for vegging, grow box is flat white so a reflector hood isnt really necessary at the moment, a fan and filter, and atleast a 400W HPS light setup later for flowering.

you need more height on your grow room. 3 feet is nothing, you'll run out of room the moment you put the plants in there.

Yah, I mean it could work for sure, but if he's still in the design stage and has room to work with, I would definitely suggest getting some extra height in there. If he can't get the extra space then it might be better to go with CFL lighting than HID, or maybe LED would be the better choice here. I think the HID would be more problematic than beneficial in a space that small.
