So I woke up with some junk in my throat and I kinda feel like I'm getting sick.
With flu season here, you guys have any home remedies for what to do when you feel it coming?
I just always put hot sauce on everything and drink a lot of oj. I know someone's grandma had a cure. Tell me what you've got.

There is no cure buddy. It's a virus, that just needs to run it's course.
But I enjoy drinking tea with honey and ginger in it. Tomato soup and grilled cheese.

Sugar is not going to help any. I would stay away from soda, OJ too... loaded with sugar. Better to eat an orange.

Well as long as it's not like sunny d or some shit. Juice is just fine. Has a lot of vitamins and shit to help the body.

My juice says 100% squeezed oranges in the ingredients so I think it'd be the same as an orange lol. Idk.
Anyway I'm totally doing all of these things. I have a long weekend I can't be sick.

I meant like diet soda. Something like that red cherry fruity Sierra Mist. Goes well with cough syrup.

Whole fruits are fine because the fructose content is relatively small and there is a large amount of dietary fibre to offset the fructose. With juice, you are concentrating the fructose and almost altogether removing the fibre.

Not only that but the pasturization proces fractionalizes the available nutrients. Notice how sometimes it says 100% juice (with vitamins added)? Its because they would normally be there in the same amounts, but the pasteurization destroys them...

Definitely. I still drink juice though, its delicious, especially mango. Everything in moderation. The ideal is zero but 1-2 cups a day is not too bad. I usually water it down as well. Its just not going to help your immune system when weakened, thats what I had an issue with.
