So, for those of you who are against war, what would you do about Iran? Nothing? Do you not understand the potential threats that come from Iran having nuclear capabilities?

Yes I know this. What does that have to do with Iran?
Iran is a completely different country than we are.
Their instability and their open desire to declare war on Israel is what makes the prospect of them having a nuclear weapon to be a problem.
PositiveOutlook- While Russia and China have both been hesitant to apply too much pressure to Iran, there is very very little chance they would ever get into a blood battle with us. China relies on the US consumers farrr too much to risk that relationship by getting involved with Iran. Russia, on the other hand, yes that is a little scary to think about but we have allies as well. We are still the most advanced and capable military power in the world.

Why not let the rest of the world take care of em? Even if they end up with nuclear they wont be able to get one onto U.S. soil, by way of ICBM etc. They will only be a direct threat to the countries around them. Let those countries deal with it. We should not be the police of the world, it is not our responsibility.
It would also not be very fiscally responsible for us to do so at the moment. Were only just now starting to recover from the collapse, getting into another 10 year war is not the best idea.

I agree with you there. As long as the other countries step up and exercise the capabilities to shut down Iran while minimizing alliance loses.
I dont support American boots on the ground. But think we could be an effective partner through naval and air control

Why would they do it? They can't match our military and I think they know that.
They may just be tired of us "accidentally" flying in their airspace. They have warned us several times or asked us not to rather.

We didnt fly into their airspace. We were flying in international airspace which begins 12 miles off the Iranian coast. Anything further than 12 miles away is considered international airspace.
Iran had a similiar incident several years back when they had a boat that was taunting a US navy carrier ship and did just about everything they could to get the American ship to open fire on them.

God forbid people in Iran have access to affordable power and advanced medical treatments through nuclear research.
Better blow their country to shit, that is sure to make them much more peaceful.
Just so it is clear to everyone, the official report of everyone but the talking heads in the media and a few idiots in Washington DC is that Iran has NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAM, that can be verified by independent international groups.

But it's not our problem! Why should we be the police force of the world??? If "Israel and some other EU nations" are worried about it, then THEY should do something about it. Not us! Fuck them and their problems.
