I have a 400 watt mh/hps I am using in a 2x4x5 grow tent for flowering. I just built a vegg chamber that is roughly 2x4.5x3 and I was wondering if four 40watt fluorescent tubes would be enough to vegg about six plants in a space that big? The walls are lined with foil if that makes any difference. If the four fourties arent enough I have one more I could add.

That would probably be adequate, it really depends on how often you need to take clones from them. I keep my mothers under 1 shop light that has 2 tubes in it, not sure how many watts, but it does just fine.

great to know, I will probably have one or two mother plants for cloning depending on if the plants I have now turn out to have genetics worth saving, and four or five other vegging clones/ plants from seed that I will only vegg for a few weeks before switching to the flower tent.
