Thin stems, Part 2
    #641285 - 10/21/12 04:53 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

Does this look like its going to die or thrive, the stem looks really weak? Theres been reasonable sunlight, Ive also got a light for when the weather is bad but I dont like using it because I dont have a setup that is suitable for it.

That's still a baby.  It looks fine besides stretching a bit.  Just make sure you aren't over watering it.  Judging by the container and the size of the plant, you shouldn't to water but every 2-3 weeks at this point.

You prob don't need to water everyday, unless its really hot. It looks really wet right now, which is fine if you just watered it.

Just check the soil, it should dry out a bit (look and feel dry) in between watering, but the plant shouldn't get wilty.

When you do water it water it well, there should be a little run off on the bottom.

You can barrier it a little deeper if you want.

I think it looks pretty healthy.

What are you using?

Yeah I just watered it. What do you mean by barrier it?

Im just using generic soil and sunlight.

I have a 400watt light inside but no closet/box/tent for it so try not to use it at the moment.

You could add another half inch of soil to steady it.

Cool. Is it a bag seed, seed?
I got some really great plants from bag seed.

It doesn't have to be enclosed.

He meant bury it.

And yes.  You shouldn't water that for another 2 weeks at least.  The plant is throwing roots out through the pot, and there is plenty of water to be reached still.  Seriously, over watering is the number one problem with new growers.
