Madden 2013
    #637239 - 09/12/12 10:35 PM (4 years, 2 months ago)

Holy shit,

I thought when I bought this game it would be like every other Madden game, except with some minor changes. Boy was I wrong.

They made this game into the sweetest football game ever created.

The gameplay is the same for the most part but the off-the-field stuff is nuts.

Before each game you have a practice season, each individual player on your team has their own personal goals for the game where if they reach them, they unlock XP points, then you use those XP points for all kinds of boosts from reduced contracts, attribute boosts, and their willingness to re-sign a contract with your team

Shit is crazyyy in depth.

Anyone else play the new Madden yet?

I had been stuck on NCAA13 for weeks and weeks but this game is going to have me addicted.

My brother just bought it for Ps3 yesterday and he made some gripes. I use to be really into Madden back before there was a way to update rosters, so I knew he was justified in is discrepancies.

One was that they took out franchise mode. Yeah, I get it, theres a career mode, but folks like me don't give a shit about new modes or even have time to learn about. Two, Madden franchise is forcing gamers to use the new controller options without giving the user options to change it. Again, players like me have the old controller options planted rightly in the brain to the where I don't have to go back and learn it given that I haven't played in years. I really don't care enough relearn Madden. I'll accept the fact that I'm getting old:(

xbox360

career mode and franchise are the exact same

And you can change the controller. They have a mode where it's the same controls as Madden 10

I've been playing career mode.

Playing career chiefs as a coach. Shit's crazy.

I still havent got the hang of all the XP stuff.

The game is soooo fast moving compared to NCAA13

You barely have time to do any defensive audibles at all

Koopa- Tell me how Franchise mode is not the same as Career. Name 1 difference.. besides the name

I'm still working my way through the preseason games, but I am loving this game. They did a good job making this not "just another madden."

This is the first season ever where the game has been completely overhauled. You can usually just do a roster update and be pretty satisfied but man, this one is soo much more in-depth than any previous year

My only gripe is that you cant fantasy draft your career team. I usually do that so that every team in the league is different.

I lost my #1 pick for 9 weeks in the 2nd preseason game

I like that the game is actually somewhat difficult too.

NCAA I win games by 50-60 points on the normal settings

Madden it's usually within 10-20 points. I still havent lost a game but the offense can move the ball whenever they want to. It's only when to run the ball over and over that I am able to get stops.
