 Too late to grow outdoors? (So. Cal)

I got donated a free clone yesterday and my indoor grow room is still being developed. I have three female plants outside right now that have been in the ground for a few months now, maybe 5 or 6 started from seeds.
I live in So. Cal close enough to the ocean that it is not too hot or to cold year round (I have not been here a complete year yet it is just what I have noticed and what I have been told)
Are there any precautions I should take since it is later in the outdoor season to help getting it veged since most people seem to harvest out here in mid to late October?

Stick it out there and let it grow. Not going to be as big as you would want it to be, but it will grow just fine.

Cool thanks. I took it over to my father in laws house and we just threw it in a pot in direct sunlight till it can get big enough to transfer.
I was hoping it would be fine, I don't expect it to get monstrous like the others we have but since the days are getting shorter I was not sure if their was any precaution I had to take :-) thanks

You srikk have a few weeks of veg light and then it'll switch to 12/12. As long as you have over 8-10 weeks before your first frost you're ok. Unless its some 14 week sativa.

I am too close to the ocean for a frost but cold enough for the buds to change to purple from what I was told from other people in the area. So we'll see how it goes. All in mother natures hands now
