Dude that's what I'm saying. How the fuck did we go from first powered flight to the moon in 61 years, then in the next 40 we haven't even built a space hotel or sent man to another planet? Still just barely even getting robots there. What a crock.

I just saw a doccumentary about adapting Mars to civilization, the Nasa's plans could be to pollute the fuck out of it, to melt the ice, which would release the gaz contained in the ground, creating an atmosphere. They want the climate to change from -80 celcius to -20, then they could apparently plant thangs to create oxygen and stuff, it was really interesting. I think it was named Life on Mars, on National Geographic

I'm not even talking about terraforming the entire planet, just making some habitable enclosures so that people can start a colony. Incrementally ship up some expansion modules and more people until it's a full scale city.

Ok, remember when they made all the advancements or whatever you want to call them. From the early 60s to the late 80s is when the most advancements were made. Now think about it, that is when there was a little competition for space. In other-words it was more important to be the first to do something rather then the actual act of doing it. Now there was this little group of nations called the USSR. When the USSR broke up and we no longer had a space race (as it use to be called) we also had no more interest in space other then bullshit shuttle missions and such that haven't had a man out of orbit since we last went to the moon. (and that was only cause we wanted to beat the USSR there)
Soooooo what I'm getting at is until the Chinese or maybe the Japanese threaten to be the first to do something in space we won't be doing shit.
