So this is my first time growing, and ive chose to grow outdoors. The leaves on my plant were damaged by animals or insects while it was a baby, it will repair itself right?

you plant should survive that. Might stunt its growth for a few days. What are you going to do to insure it doesn't happen again? That is the big question

The leaves will not repair themselves. But the plant will keep on growing.
Looks like snail/slug damage to me. Maybe catapillar.
