Everyone and their kids are cultivating cannabis these days. But when you really sit down and analyze the heat, the smell, the power and the up front cost for equipment, it makes for a very risky investment. Tied with the arduous 90 day wait for first crop. Carbon filters for smell; dissipating the heat with water coolers and attic ducting; but do these things eliminate these factors? The risk involved with renting factor in a whole slew of possibilities of intruders viewing the illegal spectacles.

not something stupid.
dont let people over to the grow house. dont tell anyone.
buy a carbon filter and buy fans. if you have what you need, youll be able to grow some ganja. use common sense and you should be fine.

Got the same answers I probably would have given for someone growing fungus.
Are carbon filters 100% successful at filter the scent?
Is a 1000w HPS something to worry about as far as heat levels?

put a lock on the closet. and change your door locks so your landlord dont ever "pop in" to check something.
biggest thing is not telling ANYONE!!!!

I second that. But even with that being said I wouldn't grow somewhere you do not own. I dont want some asshole bug control guy screwing me because he noticed (bright) light under the door to a deadbolted closet.
Just be smart about it and make sure you cover as many bases as possible.

Simple problem that can be fixed with nothing more than a towel and some things thrown in front of the towel so it's not obvious you're trying to cover something up. (Clothes hamper, clothes basket with dirty or clean clothes in it, speakers, anything really)
Just research a little lot and keep your fucking mouth shut is what it basically comes down to

you lead me to believe you have grown fungus, so obviously you know how to play it safe. Next step is researching. I've been researching a lot, only thing holding me back is that i live with my dad and he doesn't want to risk a marijuana grow since DEA lives right down my street.
