 I hate when everybody has "THE HAZE"...

My guy always tells me proudly "it's haze"...
Though he must have had at least two totally different smelling hazes in the last two months. I call bullshit. It could be haze, but regarding the multitude of other good varieties and the longer flowering time, could as well be skunk or WTF.
Or the other name he calls some of his weed: "Amnesia".
It just sounds like bogus "Our weed is so special" to me.
When I told this to somebody, that other guy went to mentioning that white widow was some type of haze. MEEEEEP! Bad mistake... I came to realize that people mostly don't have a fucking clue of what they're talking about.
Also saying things like "Oh, this weed has a kind of hazy turn" to me is like eating a potatoe and saying "Wow, this must have been a Siglinde"...
 and happy smokin'

Yeah, unfortunately thats what happens in an unregulated market.
The only time I ever trust that I'm getting such and such kind of bud is if I planted the seed myself, or know the person has a closet themselves.

Its changed around here over the years.
Kush, "pearl" (silver pearl), blueberry, whatever the current buzz is. It always starts off with something really really fire and it doesn't take long until people pick up on it and start selling their shitty seeded outdoor indicas as whatever the good strain going around is.

ya same with kush. i can almost always tell a kush by looking at it. buds form in a way only kush does. and the kush smell is very distinctive. I see soo many bathes of weed called "kush" that are shitty smoke. deff not kush 
and good nameless smoke always gets a name added to make it sound more appealing then "its good smoke", here too. People can usually charge more if they make up a name that people heard before. Its sad but ive seen people randomly name smoke.

I only buy from people I know who personally grow their own, and STILL half the time they're full of shit. Drives me nuts.
The other thing is all the random assholes who will miss a hermie nanner in the grow room, find some seeds in their crop and decide that makes them an expert breeder and come up with some stupid ass "ultra train destructofier haze-o-matic skunk kush-o-tronic" name for it. Then when you go pick up a sack at the dispensary and they call it "snowflake heaven" you have NO fucking clue what you're going to get because you know some random asshole just put a name on something so he could feel special.
