That's all that matters. Strain doesn't mean fuck all to anyone except those people growing it. You could give the same clone of the same pot to two people and you'd end up with 2 different end products. The care taken, time of flower, room parameters, nutrients used (or not used), the growing medium, the harvest and cure method, the trimming, etc. all make even clones of the same plant different. Let alone talking shit cracking from seed...I don't care how stable your pheno is, there is gonna be some differentiation. Strain name is like a last name for people. Two brothers (and hell, even cousins) can have the same last name, but they are completely different people. Clones are more like twins - look pretty similar but are different in their own ways.
Not saying this to you PO just replying in general.
Also it hasn't always been kush. I've only been smoking 10 years or so, but I remember everyone having the fire: "chronic", "white widow", "silver haze", "strawberry cough" and then eventually it switched to "kush". It was all the same shitty outdoor bagseed it always was. IDK I don't buy weed anymore.
