OK, I've been making butter from hash for like 2 years now trying to perfect that...but now I'm thinking about using my trim and popcorn buds for butter instead of hash.
I'll start out saying that I don't put leafs in my trim unless they're at least 1/2 way covered in trichs. I have a separate pile for those "questionable" ones, or the ones with just a few visible trichs on them. Also, at least half of the weight is popcorn buds. Most people prolly smoke what I cut off.
I keep reading that people are putting oz's of bud in their butter. A full oz? I feel like that is WAY overkill. I was thinking a half. I usually make my butter with 1-2g of iso hash...which is my return for about a half O of trim.
So, how much bud per stick do yall use? I'm actually probably going to use coconut oil anyway, but I'll apply that conversion as I need to.
I want to be able to eat one cookie and be done, but not so bad that next time I only eat half a cookie  I feel like these people saying "put 3 oz in a stick" are smoking schwag.

You should aim for about .3-.5g per dose when you make your butter/oil
Coconut oil is by far the best oil to use in my experience.
You should also decarb your weed before you add it to your oil.
put it in an air tight container and toast it at 200-250f till its nice and crumbly
There will be many different opinions on the proper times and temps
but I get good results decarbing my herb at ~220f for about 30 minutes
it will really depend on how well your herb is cured to be honest
if its really dry it may not take as long
if its really damp and sticky it will take longer
but never go over 250f when decarbing or cooking oil
the goodies start to vaporize at about 300-320f so keep it between 220-250f at all times 
Im starting a batch of oil using 35grams of vaped weed and the resin from several cleanings
I will make a batch of brownies and use about 1/2 cup coconut oil and 3tbsp soy lecithin
They will be cut into 12-16 pieces depending on how potent I feel they will be
I have a recipe here in this forum I think

Well, 14g in 1 stick = .5, almost .6 per teaspoon.
@ 24 teaspoons per stick, thats a batch of 24 cookies....but I'd never make cookies that small, so probably closer to 16, which almost equals a G per cookie 
 space cookies it is.
I'm definitely going to try coconut oil next. I just didn't have any on hand. I split my trim into 14g bags so I'm ready to rock when I pick some up.
