Banana Peels?

Now I heard chopping up banana peals putting a thin layer on your soil then adding a top layer of soil is a cheap way to boost potassium and phosphorus? anyone else do this and have any luck? And how does that fuck with the PH?
btw I'm just a botanist but my buddies sometimes use this sn.....
will the decomposing banana peels cause fungus?
should i dry them out first?
I'm gonna be passing out some good ratings soon

as you were told its best to compost it in your soil b4 using, not to just add it directly to your grow now.
why not just cut straight to the chase and get organic nutrients like Fox Farms line? all your nutes are easily added and you can pick and chose which ones you want, seems to save all the guess work and wondering.

I wouldn't do it. You don't want rotting material in your soil. That can cause all sorts of problems.
Fox Farms nutrients are not 100% organic just so ya know.

Banana peels seems to be what Donkey Kong is all about ^^.
But seriously: I'd only scrape the inside of the peel and compost that because the outside seems to decompose not so good. Read it somewhere.

The whole thing will decompose just fine if you have a proper composter.

If you compost this first yes. But not putting it right into your soil.

On the grapevine I have also heard that many non organic banana farmers have very high toxic pesticide levels in their bodies because they coat the outside of banana with very bad pesticide so you might be getting a dose of that too.
