I have to get out of this fucking goddamned country. I need to go and be absorbed into an alien culture. I feel smothered and restless. I'm enjoying life, but not at the extent that I know I could be. And I'm not talking about a short amount of time, a minimum of 2 months. I couldn't do any less than that.
This fucking DUI has be stuck here until December. And at that point I will be in the middle of a grow and in the middle of winter. I will have to wait until NEXT fucking summer. At least I should have some money saved up for it at that point.
I have a few places in my journal that I have in mind. But throw some places at me people.

Darwin, Australia. I grew up there, if you want to get away from everyone, sit by the beach with a beer and maybe a joint if you're out of the way, this is the place to go.
its also closer to Asia than any other Australian city, so the food there is outta this world at all the markets (and there are alot of markets)

I always found making long term plans like that just leads to them getting broken. i was always the more "fuck it, let's go" types

Not I. I like to go for long terms. Visas need to be applied for. Research into the area. I like to know a bit about a place before i go.

ive been stuck in this shit ass town for 23 months so far. and i got another 9 1/2 to go.
i have all the means, and ambition to travel. to go see people i havent been able to in a long time, to go to music festivals, to visit places ive been meaning to for so long...
but instead im stuck in shitsville. having to be sober as a bird. putting up with the fucked up mindset of the general population. all while having to pretend to be someone im not, so the people in control of my life will let me go when the time is right.
shit sucks bro, but it could be worse. already been 2 years for me, with another 9 months to go. and you are in a way cooler location then i am - for sure.

What area of Canada are you in? I would definitely be willing to do a week trip up there next winter!

middle of canada. we got few places to board here but the real (mountain) runs are out west, in Alberta and BC.
I think im heading to Jasper this spring. the mountain runs go long after the snow is gone around here.
