I'm a skiier. Have been skiing every year since i was 3.

Haven't tried snowboarding yet to be honest. I will one day though.

from one of my best days out last year. the board was brand new, I preemptively skipped classes only to get a snow day on the way to the mountain.. then I got to ride powpow all day, and afterwards got to fuck this hawt skank

I wish I was coordinated enough to do something like snowboarding or skiing. I tried skiing once, couldn't figure out how to stop, crashed into a tree and said "fuck it".

If I could get into something like that, maybe I'd hate the snow a lot less.

That, and I sold my snowmobile

Takes a lot of practice, but it's the only thing I can do in the winter to keep my sanity. Without snowboarding winter is soooo boring, boarding is way more fun than snowmobiling IMO

Oh I've hit 80 on a sled multiple times, don't get me wrong riding a snowmonile is fun as hell,but for me it is fun for only so long. It might be different if I lived in the mountains and could go sledding on some deep powder, but that shit is rare where I live.

There's also something that seems so exciting about hitting a pile of snow, and flying through the air with nothing but a peice of wood strapped to your feet and landing on another pile of snow 50 feet away. Snowmobiling couldn't even touch that excitement in my opinion at least.

I would shit myself going 80 on skis. I have a buddy that does radar runs on skis and the most recent one I can remember he got clocked at I think 60, I can keep up with him on my board too but I know I haven't done no 60mph.

although that is the flatter side of the mountain the other side isn't much better..
This is the east coast man, the only good mountains we've got are in Maine and Vermont and then you pay an arm and a leg to ride.

I always wonder how fast I'm going when I board.. its gotta be over 40 because I used to have a pimped out go-ped that went 40+ and it feels faster than that when I'm cruising

I have done diamond/double diamond runs switch on skis, and still I find sledding to be more intense. It just does not get much better than roaring through tight trails, skis in the air coming out of corners with a 500 lb machine between your legs.
