Calmag is smelly

Until now I haven't been afraid to take a sip of my nutrient water (not that I do, its just that I've always said I could if need be) but this calmag stuff is making it stinky.
Is that normal? I mean, the stuff doesn't smell very good right out of the bottle, but once its mixed and sits over night, its pretty gross.
Tell me its not just me...

I would soon like to make my own nutrient solutions and powders. For my cal mag mix i am going to try and use willow bark. It is filled with tuns of good stuff including plant growth hormones called auxins that can aid in cloning ad probably threw out the entire veg cycle. i dont know if it helps the plant but it is where we originally found aspirin(acetylsalicylic acid). and most important it has magnesium in it.

Back the tape up. I need it again!
Let it roll! Just as high as the fucker can go!
And when it comes to that fantastic note
where the rabbit bites its own head off,
I want you to THROW THAT FUCKING
RADIO INTO THE TUB WITH ME!
Not me. It would blast you through
the wall stone dead in ten seconds and they'd make me explain.

This calmag really really raises the ph. Its funny, my fox farm lineup makes the ph almost perfect, but one tsp of calmag added in fucks it all around.

I just do one tsp / gallon to supplement in my coir. Soil I don't bother.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you at that you're needing to add calmag to your foxfarm setup? Am I right to suspect you are doing the standard foxfarm lineup by their schedule? I am seeing some deficiencies around week 5 of flower and wondering if I need to add some cal/mag myself...

I just read that its a common problem with coir no matter what nute line you're using (except coir specific nutes I guess) and that its smart to feed with calmag every time you get the medium wet (except flushing) and I haven't been seeing any obvious deficiencies with using it that way.
Better safe than sorry I guess.
In soil I usually get really intensely yellowing/dying leafs right around week 5 of flower and adding in some extra grow big usually stops that. I rarely time it right though haha.
