heard that if i took my plants outa my grow room and away from the hps and into sunlight that it will stunt the growth is this true or false????

Most of the time this is true.
Tho I've seen some have luck with it.
I myself would work into the sunlight slowly.
By that I mean start with one hour the first day, and add one hour each day after, until they're under the sun for the whole day.
Takes about 12 to 18 days depending on what time of year it is for you.

Then you'll be just fine. A few minutes in the sun wouldn't do anything unless you pulled it out during the dark cycle.
