I support this decision. Mac's are stupid looking, I wish steve jobs would of been murdered by his gay lover elf so the mac-fags would of never existed.

as a PC enthusiast i have to say that mac laptops are the best laptops you can buy
sure some companies will throw crazy hardware so their computers look better on paper
but my mac ive been using for three years and never had a single issue, windows gave me problems daily

mac's ergonomics are great. well designed.
but its all about looking for the laptop. my laptop was very well designed too. and like you, i have never run in to a problem or issue (except having to figure out the little quirks of linux). i also have more processor power, and probably a bigger HD. and i paid prolly 35-40% of what the macbook costs.

not that i disagree, but every laptop ive ever had has physically broken after a couple years
this thing is a solid block of aluminum
been dropped 5+ feet onto concrete twice and had a whole bottle of powerade spilled on the keyboard while turned on to the point it was dripping out of the battery compartment and it still works fine
im sure certain companies have equal or better quality though. ive just had bad luck

that is a very good point. im pretty rough on my laptop, takes a lot of little falls and stuff like that. nothing major like you posted though. probably wouldn't survive either of those. but it is pretty decently built.
lenovo's are known for having excellent build quality to survive some of the things you mentioned. they are a bit more pricey then the usual brands but are probably worth it though.

Sounds like a user problem, my PC laptop hasn't had a single issue in the 1 1/2 years I've owned it.
Although from reading your post you seem to be the kind of person who isn't respectful to his laptops' machine spirit and abuses it.
Any techpriest of the great machine god would have your head for that.
