It turns out I bought four bags worth of organic soil amended with tobacco (I should read the labels before I buy  ) and want to know if there's any way to still use this soil or if I should just get rid of it.

you should be fine, if anything it will be beneficial, kills parasites, I used to spray my plants with tobbacco juice to stop infestations...

Ya I've read about tobacco juice being used as a pesticide, I'd still use it. Maybe try it with one plant and see how it reacts though

I wonder if any of the nicotine would be absorbed into the cannabis plant and be notably active after harvest or not?

I'd hate to be the one to develop addictive marijuana, that being said I'll proceed with some bag seed.
