I was just wondering if a larger plant is more likely to be male.
During my last grow my two biggest plants were both males.
I'm asking because I might have to kill a couple plants (don't have enough space) and I'd like to keep the plants that will most likely be female, of course.
Also, are the amount of fingers strictly an indication of age? or does it show how healthy/happy the plant is- as I've heard.

I'm interested in this too. I have five plants that I've done everything the same with and two are much bigger and, seemingly, healthier than the other three...

IME males seem to grow faster, and are more lanky before sexing

Tho it's true males tend to grow taller faster, it's doesn't mean that all fast growing plants are male.
It's always better to wait for preflowers before cutting them down.
Sometimes you'll find a strong fast growing females.

Every time I see a plant explode out of the seed and grow to awesomely epic proportions, I know its probably going to be a fucking male 
Every time I'm impressed with how nicely a plant is growing, its a male (when I don't have femmed seeds anyway...)
But yeah, don't off it until you see preflowers. IME males tend to show before females.

Some plants are just better off than others and grow more vigorously. While some of you plants that grow lanky and quick may turn male, it's not a strong enough indicator to start chopping away at the first sign of stretch and growth spurt. I've had many female plants that towered above their male siblings and vice versa.
Just wait for the preflowers or take a cutting and sex it, only way to know for sure.

I'll wait for the pre-flowers or take a cutting, probably take a cutting because I need to practice taking clones for the new hydro set up I'm making

How are you supposed to check the amount of nutrients in your water (ppm?) when growing hydroponically?
Am I gonna have to buy one of those ppm meters that are like $80, or is there a cheaper way?
I was going to just follow the FoxFarm feeding schedule then read the plant as it grows, but that doesn't seem like a good idea anymore

Either that or a TDS or EC reader... They all perform the same function, just in different ways.
I was lucky and got one used from the guy at the hydro store for $20...

I got this one Right here about a year ago but for 12 bucks on ebay and have never had a problem, yeah it's not the best and it's probably off by a little. But using distilled water and the nutes I use, it came right around where the nute company said my PPM would be when adding their nutes so I have no problem using it and it's better then nothing!

I believe that's one of the cheaper ones my local hydro store carries, but the one you linked is gonna be shipped from China so I imagine it would take quite some time to get to you. Not to mention shipping is gonna be stupid for such a small item. I would just go with the one I posted and get it from amazon or ebay. Who knows tho, maybe the one you posted is better

males always tend to be taller and have a tad bit of a different branch struckture, more up and down looking, and finger number is a indicator of helath at times or stress levals.
if you have a plant that is putting out 7 finger leaves and all of a sudden it starts [utting out 5 finger leaves there is a good chance something is amiss in the grow. this finger number decreasing is also a sign of the transition when you flipp the lights, in that case it is fine, but also a indicator of stress, as such an unatural light cycle of 12/12 is a little stressfull, but they adjsut fine in a mater of a few days.
dont 86 plants based on height alone, wait for pre flowers

I got 5 females out of 6 plants. The male was the third or second fastest growing plant indoors, but when put outdoors the other females caught up with it.
So I guess there is some relation between size/growth rate and sex.

any males ive had have always grown bigger faster healthier from day one
females seem a little weaker to me to start anyway
if you nurture those weaker ones the same way you glorify your healthy ones, more often than not, the healthier "strapping" ones tend to either be male, or mixed. and the weaker ones then, dont herm out because of the stressful neglect one might give to an underprivileged seedling 
just seen a lot of seeds/seedlings. and most of them have been significantly different genetics. dont always get the pleasure of clones or interweb seeds 
(i also like to keep males around all my females as they veg, and if feeling "ballsy", barely into flower)(i just clip any male flowers i see as soon as i see pods developing) excites the ladies
