Dampening the sound??

So, our latest complication to growing... the downstairs neighbor complains that our fan keeps her awake at night. It got so bad she actually called the cops on us tonight! While I'm not worries about the cops, the actual complaint could get us in trouble with the apartment complex. So... now I have to figure out how to keep our blower fan from being so damn loud... anyone have experience with this problem??

They make stuff called dynomat which they use in cars for car audio insulation. They also make mounts that are rubber insulated that also dampen the noise greatly. I've also seen people hang their fans from the rubber black straps with the 2 S shaped hooks on the end and hung them from those and they mainly absorbed the vibration from what I understand but the brackets they make specifically for that work great.

A fan controller helps too. You can dial it down to where its not full blast about to knock down a wall, that may also help you.
Personally hanging them from those bungy cords the black ones with the s hooks on the end work good. You just double it through, one on each side, and then just hang it up and the rubber keeps it pretty quiet especially with a controller.

I think the bungee cords would be a good option. I had considered a speed controller to slow it down a bit but at full blast it barely keeps the temps down enough...
I appreciate the idea, Alien, but I'm not gonna drop 2-3 large just so that bitch stays happy! Lol
We're gonna change the dark cycle time to 10pm-4am, than way we don't have to worry about it as much. That's the hours of quiet required by law, so she'll have to be happy with that.
