i have friends who get it so bad i can see it from across the room. i usually dont get it but noticed mine are real red tonight.

I dont get red eyes simply from being stoned any more. Only if I get smoke in my eyes or something
Man I wish I had some weed.
I wonder if I have a court date and no viable transportation, if I can request to be picked up and returned by the city........

haha, my eyes rarely get red. It's a really rare occasion anyway. maybe i just rarely get that high.

Just over 3 years since the opening of the site and we have 9 members with 10k+ posts, and it's looking like the next one wont come for awhile, unless Inverted shows back up. I wonder how this compares to the Shroomery's first 3 years and their amount of members. I would have to think we are doing better than they are since we already had an initial sister site that many people registered from.

It depends on what strain i am smoking, and how much i have actually smoked.
but my eyes usually get pretty bad.

Mine get bloodshot. I dont smoke weed anymore but whenever I do they get terribly red.

Yeah, I get super slanted eyes, but rarely red ones.
Looking through this, it seems maybe people who smoke on any regular occasion don't get it, and people who don't smoke very often do?
Does that sound right?
Maybe our eyes just adjust to whatever it is that makes them red after a while.

Totally true, I used to get terribly red eyes when I only smoked once a week. Now I only get them if I eat a couple of edibles or drink alot of tincture.
That being so, I always thought it was the extreme coughing that caused the redness more than anything. And I guess I don't cough as much as when only smoking once a week.

Well coughing makes ur eyes really red for a short time, like 2-5 mins, than they become normal again.

The best answer I've heard is that it lowers intraocular pressure allowing blood to more easily reach parts of your eye ball.
This is why MJ works well on glaucoma patients who have high intraocular pressure.
Thats the assumption I've always worked on, I'm no ophthalmologist.

Thats why I smoke medicinally.
Intraocular pressure due to a pseudotumor.
I don't even know I have it 90% of the time, a smoke a day keeps the doctor away.

My eyes rarely get red anymore. I've noticed when I vape my eyes stay crystal clear and pretty open, compared to the bong where just a few hits and my eyes get low.
Maybe its something in the smoke that causes the redness?

I think it could be the different cannabinoids, since when you vape you are getting mostly THC rather than the other ones.

Mine sometimes get super red, usually after taking massive bonghits or some other way of smoking thats got me gasping for breath
sometimes I can be really high and my eyes will be fine, but other times if i do something that would make my eyes water like drink some really fizzy soda or something that will make them swell up and look like they are bleeding

mine dont usually get too red when i have a tolerance unless i smoke a shitload.
but without a tolerance i get red eye like the son of satan.
way to obvious.
