Beer gets you equally drunk? maybe, but it takes a lot of beers. and some people dont like the taste. Some people dont like getting a full stomache trying to get drunk. so it takes longer and actually takes more energy to metabolize and digest, so you get tired quicker. I really like beer, but have never heard of 20 percent beer. here, 12 percent is the highest. any higher than that, and its liquor in a liquor store. what kind of beer is 20 percent and where

Strong beers are commonly up to 20% maybe even more
one i missed out on trying recently was dogfish head 120 minute which is a triple IPA at 18% ABV
by my calculations one 12 oz bottle of that should be the same as 4 shots of 80 proof liquor
and even if you dont wanna go that high, a 6 pack of a 9 - 11 % beer will get you pretty shitty
last time I downed a 6 of Golden Monkey (9% ABV Tripel) i was out. and that only cost me $11
Lately i havent been drinking any liquor except for the occasional shot, I really just dont like liquor. I feel like when people say a liquor is "good" they usually just mean its more tolerable than drinking straight ethanol

And also, the hops in beer are supposed to affect your cannabinoid receptors causing a better buzz than just ethanol

A few bars around here have Two Hearted Ale on tap for cheap. 7% not too high but delicious stuff. Especially when a pitches is 1 buck more than a pitcher of bud.
