First time getting this stuff going so i'm not exactly sure what the best configuration is.
I was wondering what is the ideal distance between the led and the plants. Right before I took these photo's the lamp was about an inch away from the center plant with no heat problems, but I don't want it blocking the other plants. I'm also wondering what the best arrangement is. I had to leave the plants alone for 7 days and one grew much taller than the others.
 the tall plant, now on the right with the CPF on the side
 the shortest plant, now in the center, lifted up ~10"
 and my afgan kush rider autoflower in the center front, lifted up on an milk crate.

I run my led about 1 to 6 inches abpve my plants.
Do you plan on training those plants any?
I'd tie that tall one down to keep the canopy even.

I was trying to use kabob sticks to fan the plant out a little bit, but haven't considered doing any more than that. any good links to what your talking about?

I definitely think you need to do some reading!
Your lights should be way closer like stoney said. I would also think your gonna need more lighting then that. They are starting to look wretched out.

they were actually whack clones to start with, the one's i took before I flipped to 12 hr look much better. These were left unattended and two stretched out. Also, four plants, the two in the front right and the ones in the 2 liter containers are just testers, I don't expect those to produce anything, just getting the green thumb down.
and like i said, I moved that light up for the photo, it's much lower, just a few inches above the tallest plant.
sorry, i cannot do much reading right now, i have a essay test due monday, and tests monday and tuesday. I looked at a little lst stuff, but i'm not sure what to do with the tall plant exactly.

carefully but firmly bend it over. use something to tie it down to the main stem or the side of the pot.

bent the main stem and fanned out others. I just hope the top turns up toward the light.

yes, the top will turn and grow toward the light.
Just try not to break the stem. usually very flexible in veg/start of flower.
