I quit the weed

After 3 years of smoking 3-5 times per day I have decided its time to take back control of my life and file a divorce from Mary Jane. It got to the point where I had no self control and my body and mind became completely dependent on smoking herb

wish me luck on 6-8 weeks of a weed break

good luck man. 2 weeks isnt too bad, Im a bit worried about 6-8 weeks since I have never gone 48 hours without roasting in 3 years

Good luck, man. I suggest doing all the things that you wouldn't (or couldn't) normally do when high and try enjoy doing them... running and reading and anything else you can think of.

It helped me when I quit for a few weeks.

I think im going to go camping tomorrow for a couple of days. I have 3g of mushrooms that I might take while camping and really reflect on what I need to do to accomplish what I want to accomplish

Im sorry coaster, this is just something I need to do for myself. I feel like ive really lost control and that my usage consumes not only my time, but my desire to get out and enjoy life.

I know it wont be easy. I literally smoke 2 blunts or 4-5 bowl packs every day. Today was my first day without smoking but I got alcohol to help

oddly enough I have thought about going to rehab. I can do oxycontin a week straight and just have withdrawl with do desire to use again, same with coke and meth. but with weed its always been different

I have no real reason to stop, other than proving to myself that I can quit. Which is very hard because I want to buy an 8th of Arizona's dankest right now

true. but I have never had the desire to use cocaine or heroin after I have used unlike marijuana. Im sure if I did coke for 3 years straight it would be a different story. But everyone is different and cannabis is my poison

well good luck, its hard, dont hang out with stoners.  if ur not smoking there really isnt any reason to be at a smoke sesh. 

you will have a hard time for a week or 2.  couple shots before bed helps.

i quit the weed a little over a year ago after 11 years of smoking every day multiple times a day. i must say i feel better than i did when i was stoned all the time.

Yep, agreed.

I like to keep a little of the 'legal bud' stuff around. It isn't a substitute for ML, but it gives you something to puff on.

Use a different pipe, though- don't want that in your regular pipe.

Right. It's a ripoff if you think of it as being a pot substitute, but not as bad if you think of it as a non-pot, non-tobacco smokable. It gives your hands something to do.

Im ok with it as long as it isnt costing me money and putting me in debt. As long as generous people are smoking with me then I wont refuse. It still means I wont be smoking on a daily basis which is really the point anyways
