If it keep the floor dry it will work. The Black on one side and white on the other side stuff would be better cause the white side can be faced up and reflect a little light from the bottom.

my veg closet has carpet on the floor and I cover it (and my flower cab) in the plastic sheeting painters use (what is it, uh, 3.5 mil?). Cheap as shit in home depot.
