For somebody to do it at home use one of these methods.
This is from Rez the breeder and owner of Reservoir Seeds https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=58957 I have used this method a thousand times at the very least and it is the standard way of doing feminized seeds in the seed industry.
Then there is CS which is the easiest for the home seed maker and works pretty damn well also. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=60610 ;
There is also Soma's method (Rodelization) of just leaving the buds on the plant way past their maturity which most strains will start to put out male flowers under age stress. This method is almost guaranteed to give you a good percentage of hermie plants and really shouldn't be used.

Here is my Granddaddy that I've been using for years.
Here she is with a cs treatment that was 60ppm
This was one of my first attempts at using cs instead of sts and it was much simpler. (and cs is way less toxic so I hear)

Out of curiosity, is there anywhere to buy GDP seeds someone has done this to? I can see where the original breeders would be pissed if there were a site selling the seeds...but it seems like *someone* out there has to have caught on to this goldmine without worrying about the morality of it.
I just want some fucking purple strains from Cali!

I just gave this answer in another thread but it seems to work here to.
Remember that if you self a bubba kush that the seeds still are not bubba kush. Even selfed plants can show traits that are not in the strain but are part of the parents makeup.
As I've said before this is where breeders make money. There is no such thing as a strain called Bubba Kush, Granddaddy Purple, Purps, Trainwreck, Yadda yadda yadda they are the name of certain plants. The only way to get real Bubba, Granddaddy and the others is if you manage to get a cutting that came from the original plants.
Now the way they do it in Holland.
Somebody crosses Super Skunk with Wonder Woman and calls it super Girl. Now you go out and get Super Skunk seeds and grow them out and get some Wonder Woman seeds and grow them out. You manage to find two great females one of each strain. You cross them, do you have Super Girl? No, you have a knockoff. The only way to get Super Girl if is you have the original parent plants.
In other word in Cali it's common to name a plant that a person thinks is killer. What that means is say I grow out a killer Lavender plant. I decide that this one plant is gonna be called Mags Lavender Lady and start to give out cuttings of it. Somehow it manages to get around and wa-la a new med strain.
Now in Amsterdam its a little different. They tend to cross two parent plants and give the name to the entire batch of seeds that came from the parent plants that is why with their strains you get phenos. You buy AK-47 and some look like sativa and some look like indica and some in between.
You don't hear about phenos with the Cali med strains. There isn't a sativa leaning Granddaddy or Bubba or OG. Have two Granddaddy plants and they don't look alike (common with Amsterdam strains) then one or both are not true Granddaddy.

Yeah, I know, but theres still a *chance* it will be similar to the girl you took the seeds from.
I mean, theres more chance of me getting a plant similar to GDP from GDP feminized seeds than there is for me to get GDP from chocolope seeds  So while its not completely original, it has the potential to be pretty close, which is why I'm after them

Most plants feminized or not will give male flowers if you leave buds on the plant a few weeks after they mature. Not the best method for getting seeds since you will have a high percentage of hermies with this method.

Usually ready in 12 to 14 hrs. I use a ppm meter to determine strength.
