Soil Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones?
2. How old are your plants?
3. How tall are your plants?
4. What size containers are they planted in?
5. What is your soil mix?
6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use?
7. What is the pH of your water?
8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio?
9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything?
10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights")
11. How close are your lights to the plants?
12. What size is your grow space in square feet?
13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space?
14. What is the pH of the soil?
15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space?
16. How much experience do you have growing?

Fill this out.  It could be a number of things.  Not enough food, to much food, toxic salt build up, heat stress, light stress, root bound, ect....

It looks like it's going to be another Gravity Bong type day...

alright...you guys asked for it...i knew better than to skimp on info but i was really tired last nite and i figured id give an intro..here s my set-up...this is where it gets confusing as your gonna see i have a tits system...10,000+ invested in equip (but no stupid toys, just top o the line tools) over the last several years. im not a novice grower, however im not an expert either..
quick back ground in growing:

plant biology degree

(framing contractor 14yrs), designed and built grow rooms for a 5 chain dipensary for 3 yrs.

been in, analyized, and adjusted countless growrooms for many satisfied custees.
(thats my biggest issue, how the hell can i help others and be so stumped on my own project..anybody relate..?)

currently a hort. service tech and consultant at a grow shop (i should say the most senoral prestiegous shop in an 11 shop {small} town), i m not saying these things to brag i just want you guys to know how many growers i deal with on a day to day basis so you can get an idea of where im coming from as far as experience is concerned..
(BTW my rep can NOT be had with this kind of garden...i feel real bad)

you need to have some ref as to my experience..i meet growers all the time who are convinced they are soooooo knowledgeable..but they don t know shit..i m learning all the time..i learn from everywhere and everyone..ive learned som of the simplest most profund lessons in gardening from total beginners to seasoned pros.. the more i learn the more i realize i just got stared....thank you guys sincerly for any and all help....

OK HERE IT IS:

enviro:
room size..10ftx10ftx8ft
temps......68-65 lowest @ nite
72-77 highest @ day (photo period)
RH.........45 lowest-55 highest and this is also taking VPD into
          account.
co2........FAE constant
lights.....digi lumee 1k ballasts @ 1 per 12 sq ft, total of 4

medium.....organic soil, i mix and ammend my own. i water with
precision, i m fairly aquainted with the strains that i m
growing so i pretty much know their needs..
my base is..25% ea of . coir, casting, pot soil, perlite..
a list or at least partial list of ammendments as follows
          kelp meal, bone meal, guanos
          green sand, rock phosphate,
dolomite, gypsum, oyster shell, some happy frog dries like
marine, bulb food, and all purpose...
all of the above i add in different consistency..from
crushed to flour to micronized powder..
feed.......once a week with a tea..ingredients include guanos castings
humus and molasses somtimes liquid kelp and micronized
and micronized oyster shell for a ph adjust
water......RO water starts @6.5 ph after filter, drops to 4.5-5 after
solution mix and stabalizes bac up to 6.5-6.8 w/
added oyster and 24-30 hr bubbling..
then ill partial/initial water.. wait 1-2 hrs then give the
          tea to them..
brix.......6-8 (when i took the photos)

containers.5,7 and now 10 gal fiber pots.

i use raptor hoods....40inx30in i believe..i use large hoods so i can keep mi lights dn on the canopy...my canopy temps are good so i don t know why brilliency would be an issue.. as far as i kno you can t compete w/ the sun...but i ve always wondered..temp issues aside..could there be such a thing as too much artificial light...? i don t kno..

i vegg under 400 then switch to 600watts....plants finish vegging w/ lamps approx 18in from canopy..
in flower i keep the lamps 18-20in off the top and finish (last week) w/ the lights pulled bac to 24-30..

i keep my plants short never letting them reach over 24in off the top of the container..

as far as strains are concerned.. i have 22 at the momento and 13 of those are in production..they range in growing difficulty from super easy to very challenging..and the same for sensitivity to stresses, insecticide apps and general growing conditions..quite a range and i ve had way better yields with the strains i m now haing trouble with..mmm.. very frustrating..

i kinda kno pest and disease a little and i m pretty sure (based off past experi)i m not dealing w/ virus or pathogenic fungi/bacteri...

i do have a slight ongoing mite problem in the mid to later stages of flowering..but it is hardly noticable, not to the point of plant damage..been working on it for a couple months..didn t think mites in so small pops could do anything like this..but they are vecs of diease..the white pin spots you see in the vegg pics is DE residue on the leaves..just thought you might need to factor that in..mabe not..

i do use MH in vegg and a 3k (kelvin) MH for flowering...my plants are 18-24 inches tall when i flip em...mabe i do need more nitro..that was somthing that crossed my mind as well..also i might add, hopfuly not too late..i ve only been using this method (organic) for mabe 4 gros..before that i have always used a chem/pseudo-organic fert and nute regi..however it seemed that i could read my plants better before..or mabe im not familiar with the subtleties yet..

drying them out before each watering is an age old technique, but so is the controversy..dosent that stress them..?
what would be the difference between stress and dynamic tension..?

I had plants from several years back that turned out like yours. Watering was optimal, maybe a little wet. I even let the soil dry a bit, but nothing helped.

Buds never filled out much. Checked the drain pan after harvesting, and it looked like possible nematodes or other microscopic larvae teeming in the water. Other than that, my lighting was a little on the dark side(CFL), but enough for good vegetative growth.

I never did find out the problem. Then again, I never checked/adjusted pH. :P  I just let the leaves drop, and when the buds stopped swelling, I flushed and harvested after a few days.

Got some nice smoke, but quantity/quality of yield could have been greatly improved by preventative care.
